Camlist has partnered with Tabby to help buyers with financing options for the pets they are looking to buy.

If buyers are looking to get a pet but don't have the full price available on hand, we will provide them with financing.

Basically, we will pay you the full price immediately, and they will pay us back in monthly installments with the help of this option.

Benefits to you as a seller:

  • Better affordability for a buyer to make a payment

  • Quicker deal completion and payments from buyers

  • Instant credit of the full amount to your balance

  • Zero risk for sellers in case the buyer misses an installment

  • No charges to the seller

Here is an example of the process, with a look at what the buyer has to do:

STEP 1:

The first step is to ensure the buyer is comfortable with the pet they are looking to get from you and agree with the buyer on the price.

STEP 2:

Once you agree on a price, you then need to send the buyer a payment request by tapping on the "Request payment" button and entering the amount you want them to pay. To learn how to send a payment request, check out this article.

STEP 3:

The buyer will find a button that says "Pay now" on their side, they need to tap this button and enter your full asking price on their end to complete the payment. Note that the amount in the payment request sent by you may be edited by the buyer in case there is a change in the agreed amount, or in case they would like to use multiple payment methods to make the payment towards you.

STEP 4:

The buyer needs to choose to pay with Tabby, our financing partner, and proceed as per the instructions shown to them.

STEP 5:

When the buyer selects this option, they will have to enter their mobile phone number and email ID, accept the terms and conditions when prompted, and then continue.

Once this is done, the buyer will be asked to verify their Emirates ID and will go through an instant credit check process.

Tabby then conducts an instant credit check on the buyer and approves or rejects the purchase in installments. The buyer will receive a breakdown of the payment. Note that the buyer does have some additional fees added as a cost of providing a safe payment service. There are no fees charged to you, the seller.

STEP 6:

Once the purchase is approved and the buyer pays the first installment amount, the amount will be pending completion of the compliance requirements including an identity verification from the buyer's end. Once this is completed and approved by our compliance team, we will deposit the FULL asking price to your balance while the buyer pays us in installments. You will see a message in your chat with the buyer that says "Payment successful".

STEP 7:

You will find the full amount deposited in your pending balance. Just go to your "Profile" screen and tap the "Balance" button.

The buyer has to tap on the "Confirm delivery" button on their side and attach a photo proof of pick up once they have received the pet, and that point your pending balance moves to your available balance so that the transfer of the full amount can be initiated by you.

You can then request a transfer of the money in your balance to your bank account by going to the "Balance" screen and pressing the "Transfer to my bank account" button.
