We strongly recommend that any new pet parent picks up their pet in person from the seller's location. This is the least stressful option for our furry friends, and allows buyers to meet the breeders in person and establish a relationship.
In case this not possible for a particular reason, we want to help provide the most convenient experience for the safe rehoming or your pets. This article discusses how to deal safely when transporters or pet couriers are involved in the process.

Delivery confirmation process
If you're a buyer and you are arranging for transportation:
Complete the full payment of the pet on Camlist
Your payment will be held in escrow and won't be released to the seller until your transporter has safely picked up your pet. You can read more about this in our Buyer Protection Program
Speak to potential transportation options (we mentioned a few at the top of this article) and once you have finalized the best option for yourself, arrange for the pick up to be done from the seller's location
You can usually ask the transporter to conduct any checks you want to ensure that the pet is as per your agreement with the seller before they pick it up
When you complete your payment on Camlist successfully, you will receive a delivery confirmation link via email through which you will have to confirm delivery - this link can be forwarded to the transporter and the transporter can confirm delivery on your behalf
Once the transporter is at the seller's location, if everything is as per your agreement with the seller - your transporter can use the link they have received, tap on "Confirm Delivery" and attach a photo of themselves holding the pet. This photo once posted will be visible in your chat with the seller on Camlist.
Once the confirmation is done, the transporter may leave the seller's location. The seller will be able to withdraw the funds as soon as they complete the confirmation.
If you're a seller and you are arranging for transportation:
Make sure that the buyer completes the payment beforehand through one of the payment methods available on Camlist.
Once the payment is done, you will see the amount they paid in your balance on Camlist. This amount will be in escrow until the buyer receives their pet. Once they receive the pet and press the confirmation button, you will be able to withdraw the funds to your bank account
You or the buyer can speak to potential transportation options and once you have finalized the best option for yourself and the buyer, arrange for the pick up to be done from your location
When you hand over the pet to the transporter, please ensure that you tap on "Confirm Delivery" from your end and attach a photo of the transporter with the pet before the transporter leaves your location
Once the transporter has reached the buyer's location, please inform the transporter to ensure that the buyer taps on "Confirm Delivery" on their end and attaches a photo of themselves with the pet as proof that they have received the pet BEFORE the transporter leaves. ⚠️ You won't be able to withdraw your funds if this step isn't completed ⚠️
Once the confirmation is done, you will get the notification and the photo in your chat with the buyer.
At this point the transporter may leave the buyer's location. Just ensure they don't leave the buyer's location until the confirmation is done successfully so you can receive your funds.
