⚠️ We recommend that buyers pay the full price on Camlist, as it is held in escrow and not released to the sellers until the buyer receives their pet. For sellers receiving a deposit:
Once you and the buyer have agreed on collecting the deposit, all you have to do is tap on the "Request deposit" button in your chat with the buyer.
As soon as you do this, the buyer will see the option to pay the deposit from their end. The buyer on their side can tap on the "Pay deposit" button, enter the agreed upon amount and complete the payment.
Once the buyer pays the deposit, you will be notified in your chat with them on the app, and you will be able to instantly access the amount and request a bank transfer. To request a bank transfer, you can check out this article.
For buyers paying a deposit:
Once you and the seller agree on the deposit amount, the seller will tap on the "Request deposit" button on their end.
At this point, you will see a button in your chat with the seller that says "Pay deposit". You can tap on this button, enter the agreed upon amount and complete your payment. Bear in mind that to pay deposits, you will only see certain payment methods available and you wouldn't be able to use the installments option to make deposit payments. You can however make the remainder payment using installments if you wish to do so.
Once you complete the deposit payment, your payment will be pending compliance approval, and our team will reach out to you to help you complete these steps. Once your payment has been approved, it will be marked on the app as a successfully paid deposit, and the seller will instantly be able to access the deposit amount and withdraw it to their bank account. This type of payment is non-refundable from our side once paid.
In the US 🇺🇸 :
Only the ACH transfer or Cashapp option may be accepted for deposits. All other payment options will only be available for buyers to make the remainder payment for the pet/ Payment plans and financing cannot be used to pay deposits. You will see the currently available payment options while making the deposit payment.
In the UK 🇬🇧 :
Only the bank transfer option will be accepted for deposits. All other payment options will only be available for buyers to make the remainder payment for the pet/ Payment plans and financing cannot be used to pay deposits. You will see the currently available payment options while making the deposit payment.
In the UAE 🇦🇪 :
Only the full payment by credit/debit card option will be accepted for deposits. All other payment options will only be available for buyers to make the remainder payment for the pet/ Payment plans and financing cannot be used to pay deposits. You will see the currently available payment options while making the deposit payment.
