Paying on Camlist

Here's how you can pay on Camlist, and why you should choose to do so.

When you need to pay the seller, the SAFEST option for you as a buyer is to pay through the app; this will guarantee you are protected and provide you with a scam-free experience.

Paying on Camlist is easy:

STEP 1:

First, you need to start a chat with the seller of the listing you are interested in. At this stage, a seller may send you a "Payment Request" from their end, but even without that you may already see the "Pay now" button in your chat with them.

STEP 2:

When you tap on "Pay now", you will see the option to choose between paying a "Deposit" or a "Protected payment (Full / Installments)". You will also be asked to enter the amount that you want to pay at this stage.

"Deposit" option is for non-refundable deposits that you want to pay to the seller. You can read about this option here.

"Protected payment (Full / Installments)" is for our protected payment option which allows you to pay the full amount or pay in installments towards the full asking price of the pet. This amount is held on the app until you receive the pet as per the Buyer Protection Program.

STEP 3

Once you have entered the amount and chosen your type of payment, scroll down to see all the payment options available to you.

STEP 4

Choose the option that suits you the best.

The available options of payments will depend upon the amount you are looking to pay, and whether you are making a protected payment or paying a deposit towards the seller.

You can also avail our promotional offer to become a VIP pet parent for 1 year which you can opt out of before you proceed.

Once you've chosen your preferred mode of payment, tap on "Proceed to Payment" and follow the instructions. It would be something like this:

STEP 5

Once you have made the payment from your preferred mode of payment, your payment or deposit maybe pending approval from our compliance team because depending on your country of residence, you may be asked to complete a one-time identity verification as per KYC and AML guidelines.

Once your payment is completed and approved, the seller will be notified, and the amount will be visible to them on their Camlist balance. This is held in the balance until you receive your pet, tap "Confirm delivery" on your chat, and attach a photo of yourself with the pet. Once this happens, we will initiate the transfer of the amount to the seller's bank account.

In cases of deposits, the amount will instantly be available to the seller to withdraw to their bank account as they would be non-refundable as per your agreement with the seller. You can learn more about deposits here.
