To ensure a smooth and safe rehoming process for sellers, buyers, and most importantly, the pets, we've created a robust delivery confirmation process.

What do I need to do as a seller / breeder ?


There is only ONE thing both seller and buyer must do during pickup of the pet:


Tap the "Confirm delivery" button in the chat, and take a photo of the PET with the BUYER. That's it!

A message is sent in the chat informing both buyer and seller who has completed the delivery confirmation process, and shows the photo provided by each party.

It is the seller's responsibility to ensure that the delivery confirmation takes place as per the guidelines in order to release their funds for transfer.

Release of funds:

Our compliance team will review the photo and if it clearly shows the pet and buyer, the funds are released and the balance will move from "Pending balance" to "Available balance" in your Balance screen.

You will then be able to request a bank transfer. Once you request your bank transfer, your bank transfer will be processed from our side within 24 hours as described in this article

In case the delivery confirmation process is not done as per the guidelines for any reason, we will not be able to release the funds and the delivery confirmation is deemed incomplete. So if you have any doubts make sure to reach out to our support team in advance get any clarifications.

Timeframe:

Once you provide the photo our compliance team needs time to review it. If it meets the guidelines mentioned below the transaction is approved (usually with an hour or so) and your funds are released.

Please do not panic if the funds are not immediately transferred from "Pending" to "Available" in your Balance screen once you confirm delivery. This does NOT necessarily mean that there is something wrong with the photo or that you need to do it again. It simply means that the photo is pending review and approval.

Your buyer can safely leave the location with their pet if you've followed guidelines and process mentioned in this article, and they don't need to wait around until the compliance team reviews and approves it.

Delivery photo guidelines:

  • The photos posted must be clear and must not be blurry or hazy

  • The photos posted must have the buyer and the pet clearly visible

  • The buyer in the photos must be the person who completed the payment and done the identity verification

Frequently Asked Questions

- When can the buyer leave my location?

The buyer can leave with the pet as soon as both of you tap on "Confirm Delivery" and provide the photo as per the above guidelines.


You will both be able to see who has completed the process as there is a message sent in the chat confirming this for each of you, and it will show the photo provided by each as well.

In case you would like to confirm if this has happened correctly as per the guidelines, you can always reach out to our chat support.

- When will I be able to request a bank transfer?

At the point of every delivery confirmation, your confirmation photos are submitted to the compliance team who verifies and approves it if all the guidelines were met.

So as long as all the above guidelines have been met, your delivery confirmation will be approved within 1 hour in most cases, after which you will be able to request your bank transfer.

Once you request your bank transfer request, it takes a maximum of 24 hours for us to process your bank transfer request as mentioned in this article.

- Can the buyer request a refund after confirming delivery?

After confirming delivery, the buyer is no longer eligible to receive a refund from our side as we are required to transfer the payment to you.

Once your bank transfer is processed, there is no way for us to reverse this from our side.

However, if for whatever reason you wish to cancel the transaction before you receive your bank transfer please reach out to us and we will do our best to help you.

- What happens in case the buyer has left my location and they did not complete the delivery confirmation as per guidelines?

It is the seller's responsibility to ensure that the delivery confirmation takes place as per the guidelines.

From our side, we can try help by reaching out to the buyer and requesting them to complete the delivery confirmation or requesting them to reach out to you directly. But until the delivery confirmation is completed in accordance to the guidelines listed above, we would not be able to release the payment to you.

- The buyer won't be able to personally pick up the pet, or I need to use a courier service

We understand that in some exceptional cases it may not possible for the buyer to personally pick up the pet to provide the photo. In such cases please reach out to our support team and we will do our best to help you.

- Why do we need to confirm delivery with photo evidence?

Our vision since inception was to build the safest way for anyone to rehome a pet. The delivery confirmation process is a safety mechanism for both buyers and sellers on Camlist to ensure both parties are not worried about potential scams, and that trust is established which is usually a concern for buyers rehoming a pet online.
