1. Do I have to pay anything to list on Camlist?

It is free to list your pets on Camlist. As a seller, you can post multiple listings for free until you reach the usage limit on Camlist, after which you may be prompted to upgrade to the VIP seller plan.
2. Is it safe to sell on Camlist?

Camlist is the safest way to rehome a pet. We offer complete protection to our users, so you donβt have to share your phone number or personal details. We act as an intermediary for every payment so that no buyer or seller is ever scammed if the payment is made on Camlist. As a seller, you are protected by our Seller Protection Program, which ensures buyer ID verification and compliance checks are completed before you hand over the pet.
3. Can I use Camlist if Iβm a registered breeder or a business?

Yes, Camlist is designed to work well for individual sellers and professional breeders or businesses alike.
4. Do I need to provide my phone number to sign up?
β
Yes. Camlist uses phone number authentication and a one-time password (OTP) to verify your identity when signing up. Unfortunately we don't have a way to login through any other means at the moment, and a valid phone number is required to sign up and login.
5. Is my phone number visible to others?
β
No. Your phone number is never shared with other users unless you choose to disclose it yourself. We will never recommend sharing your phone number with any other user on Camlist.
6. Can I change my phone number?
β
Yes, reach out to our support team via in-app chat to update your registered phone number.
7. Is my email address visible to others?
β
No, your email address is private and used only for verification and account updates.
8. Is my location shared with others on the app?
β
Only your city is shown to buyers so they can filter listings near them. We also use your location to ensure listings are created from supported regions. Only you can choose to share your location with another user on Camlist through your in-app chat.

9. How do I list a pet for sale on Camlist?
You can post a listing by tapping on the "+" button in the menu on the bottom of the app. Choose the "listing" option to post a listing and choose a video as the main media, and then you should be able to add up to 10 additional photos and add the details and description. Here's a step by step guide to posting a listing.
10. Can I post images instead of videos?

Video is required as the primary media, but you can upload up to 10 photos in addition. You can also share photos in the chat with buyers.
11. What is the most ideal way of shooting the video for my listing?
β
Ensure the pet is clearly visible in good lighting. Use a contrasting background. Focus on one pet at a time. Videos of active pets get more engagement.
12. What is the best duration for my petβs video?
β
30β45 seconds is ideal. The video can be up to 2 minutes long.
13. Can I sell multiple pets in one listing?
β
Each listing should focus on one pet to help buyers connect better and boost listing quality. But if you choose, you can make a single listing with multiple pets in the listing - including an entire litter.
14. What is the most effective way to write down my listing description?
β
Make sure to be clear and concise. Please mention when the pet can leave for their new home. It would also help to mention details of the breed, the color of their coat, the details of their parents, health records like vaccination history, and whether they have been microchipped and de-wormed. The more important details youβre able to provide, the more a buyer would trust you to be a legitimate breeder or seller.

15. How long does it take to approve my listing?

Once you post your listing, it takes around 1 to 2 hours for your listing to be approved. It may take longer in case of a high volume of listings being posted.
16. What if my listing was rejected?

17. What are the rules around rehoming age for pets?

Pets must be of legal rehoming age (usually 8+ weeks, depending on your region). As a seller, you are responsible for checking the local advertising rules in your country or region to ensure compliance. Each country and state may have different legal requirements for minimum rehoming age, vaccination status, documentation, and breed-specific regulations. 18. How do I get paid?

Once you and a buyer agree on the price, you can send a payment request in chat. The buyer can pay in full or through one of the financing options available to them. Once they do, the full amount is added to your pending balance and it remains there until you handover the pet and both of you confirm delivery on the app.
19. When do I get paid?
β
After the payment, once both you and the buyer confirm delivery, your pending balance moves to available balance, and you can request a bank transfer. Transfers are typically processed within 24 hours of the bank transfer request.
20. What are the payment methods available for my buyers?

Buyers can:
Pay in full via debit/credit card or bank transfer depending on your country of residence
21. Are there any fees?
β
There are no fees charged to sellers on Camlist. The buyer would have to pay a small fee based on their choice of payment method. You can check out the details here.

22. Do I get the money before the buyer leaves with the pet?
β
As soon as a buyer makes the payment, you will receive the full amount as per your asking price in your pending balance. This is as long as the buyer enters the correct asking price while making their payment.
This amount is available in your Camlist pending balance until you and the buyer confirm delivery as per the delivery confirmation guidelines, and once that is done and it is approved, the amount moves to "Available balance". At this point you will be able to request a bank transfer.
As long as the delivery confirmation is completed as per guidelines, it should be approved within 1-2 hours and you will be able to request a bank transfer right away once the delivery confirmation is approved. You can learn more about this process in our Seller Confirmation Guidelines article.
23. How do I confirm delivery of a pet, and what if a buyer doesnβt confirm delivery?

You and the buyer can both confirm delivery of the pet by pressing the "Confirm Delivery" button in your in-app chat with each other, and this button appears after payment is made and approved. The buyer will also receive an email with the link for delivery confirmation, so they may check their email too for the link for delivery confirmation.
From your side, you just have to make sure the buyer presses the "Confirm Delivery" button and attaches a photo of themselves with the pet, and once you both confirm delivery on the app, the buyer may leave your location. Your delivery confirmation will be checked by our moderators within 1-2 hours and you can then request a bank transfer anytime you like and it will be processed by our finance team within 24 hours of the request.
It is always the seller's responsibility to ensure that the delivery confirmation is completed as per the Delivery Confirmation Guidelines for Sellers.
24. Why has my bank transfer not been processed?

If you have requested a transfer within the last 24 hours, then you are still within the processing window for bank transfers and you should get an update on the same soon. There may be delays for bank transfers in case of any issues with the setup of your banking information. You can reach out to the in-app chat support to check on the status of your bank transfer in case it has been longer than 24 hours since your bank transfer request.
25. How does the installment process work?
Once you send the buyer a payment request, the buyer has the option to make the payment in full using their card or in installments. Regardless of which option they choose, you will get your asking price in full up-front.
If the buyer chooses installments, as soon as they pay the first installment, you will receive the full asking price, and you can hand over the pet. The buyer will continue to pay us in further installments based on the plan they choose.
There are no extra fees charged to you as the seller for a sale.

You can avail of the above offers only for the pets that you sell through Camlist once you receive the payment for the pet via the app. We do not recommend receiving any payments in cash as you receive no protection, and you will not have a record of the transaction.

30. How can I share my listing(s)?

In your profile screen, you will find a βShareβ icon at the top right section. You can tap on this to share your entire profile. If you would just like to share one listing, you will find the βShareβ button when you open the listing. You can share these links on any platform - WhatsApp, Facebook, other classifieds sites, and more.
31. What are the channels I can use to have more reach for my listing(s)?

You can post on social media, classifieds, and include your custom banner wherever you post your pets.
32. How can I get more buyers to reach out?

To increase the visibility of your listings, you can do the following:
Ensure that your profile is complete with a picture, a username, and a detailed "About" section
Make sure to get your past buyers to leave you reviews on the app
Share your listings and your profile on other platforms like Instagram, TikTok and Facebook
Offer the option of paying in installments with 0% interest through Camlist, on other platforms as well
Use boosts to send your listings to the top of the feed
33. What do I need to do in order to have my account listed among the top rated?

If this section is available in your country, the top-rated sellers are chosen based on the following criteria:

34. What are boosts?

Boosts are used to bring your listing to the top of the feed temporarily as if it were listed just now. As soon as a new listing is posted, the boosted listing would automatically move down in the feed. You can learn more about boost through this article.
35. How do I receive more boosts?

You can either buy boosts from the "Boosts" section on the app. Or you can earn free boosts by sharing your custom banner anywhere outside of Camlist, and sharing a screenshot of the same with our in-app app chat support to claim your free boosts!

36. Could I invite my buyers from outside to claim the Camlist offer?

37. What should I do if a buyer is asking me to take payment outside Camlist?

38. What should I do if a buyer is unresponsive or suspicious?

Avoid sharing any personal info as that is very unsafe. Report the buyer via the in-app chat or reach out to support immediately with the details so that our support team can take the appropriate action.
39. How do I report a scam or suspicious activity?

Use in-app reporting option or message the in-app chat support for help. Never click on any suspicious links within your in-app chats with another user as they may be fraudulent, and you can always reach out to the Support Team to verify any suspicious activity on Camlist.
